Will Turner has likely left his pirate days behind after being freed from the curse of the Flying Dutchman. In the fifth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Dead Men Tell No Tales, he reunites with Elizabeth Swann, and their family is whole once again.
No longer bound to the duties of the ghostly ship’s captain, Will is free to live a peaceful life. His son, Henry, who played a crucial role in breaking the curse, is now forging his own path.
Though Will spent years as the captain of the Flying Dutchman, his true goal was always to be with his family and his love, Elizabeth. With the curse lifted, he has likely left piracy behind to finally find the peace and happiness he long sought. His story concludes as that of a man who endured countless trials for what truly mattered to him.

Who knows? Perhaps in a sixth film, we’ll see Will Turner with a baby in his arms instead of swords and pistols. At the very least, actor Orlando Bloom has repeatedly expressed his willingness to return to the Pirates franchise.
