Quentin Tarantino's tenth film should be the most important in his career, and the spin-off Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which will be directed by David Fincher, is a great way not to waste his "last bullet" on it. What will come of it?
An unexpected but logical duet
It would seem that Fincher and Tarantino are two completely different directors. The first is a perfectionist, turning every frame into a geometrically verified composition. The second is a master of chaotic dialogues and bloody climaxes. Bu the main intrigue lies in this clash of styles.
"If we talk about Fincher, then he is a person who always shoots films based on other people's scripts. If we talk about Tarantino, then he is, on the contrary, a very text-centric person who always uses his own scripts. And here such a roll call will be extremely inventive."

Why did Tarantino agree?
As we remember, the next film by Tarantino the director will end his great career, and therefore it seems logical that he outsourced his script.
"The original film has already turned into a book, and Quentin continues to develop these characters. By giving the spin-off to Fincher, he seems to leave a gap for his own great work."
Will Fincher cope?
The latest high-profile project of the Fight Club director, the specific thriller The Killer with Michael Fassbender, was met with mixed reactions by the public, and therefore concerns about the success of the spin-off Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood seem logical, but only at first glance.

The Killer was not a failure — this film was immediately released on streaming, which affected the box office. But this is a study of a sociopath who gets what he wants — an unconventional ending for Fincher. And his Mank is an outstanding work. Not as iconic as Fight Club, but a jewel of a director.
We can only hope that Fincher and Tarantino will really decide to take this experiment. In the meantime, it’s time to rewatch Mank and Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood to prepare for a possible surprise.
