This summer, audiences will be introduced to Elio, an 11-year-old boy whose greatest dream is to be abducted by aliens. Joining him on his journey is his Aunt Olga, voiced by recent Academy Award winner Zoe Saldaña, and Glordon, an unexpected first friend who happens to be an alien. In this exciting big-screen adventure, Elio will travel millions of miles across the universe, meeting a host of extraordinary creatures that may help him discover where he truly belongs.
But when he’s mistaken as Earth’s leader, he’ll have to form unexpected bonds, navigate a crisis of intergalactic proportions and make sure he doesn’t lose the opportunity to live out his ultimate dream.
The director is Adrian Molina, who previously worked as a co-director on Coco. The cartoon will be released overseas on June 20.
