Kevin Spacey has joined the cast of the upcoming conspiracy action-thriller The Awakening, marking another step in his efforts to rebuild his career after being acquitted of sexual offense charges. First announced last year, the film is directed by Matt Routledge and features a star-studded cast including Peter Stormare, Alice Eve, Steven Berkoff, Stephen Glover, Matt Hookings, and former World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall. Justin Tinto also stars in his debut role.
Produced by Camelot Films and set for worldwide sales at Cannes via Pia Patatian’s Cloud9 Studios, The Awakening follows Jason (Tinto) and Rebecca (Eve) as they uncover a global conspiracy. Their investigation plunges them into a maze of secrets, racing against time to expose the truth.
The film was shot at Pinewood Studios, adding a layer of intrigue given its legendary history. The production team includes editor Chris Gill, director of photography Laszlo Bille, and stunt coordinator Luke Tumber.

Since his acquittal in 2023 of nine sexual offense charges in the UK, Spacey has taken on European projects like Control and Peter Five Eight. With The Awakening, he aims to re-establish himself in Hollywood and beyond with a gripping conspiracy thriller that promises to captivate audiences seeking thought-provoking entertainment.
