Austin Butler takes on a gritty new role in this high-stakes crime drama.

Austin Butler is set to take on a gritty new role in Caught Stealing, a crime thriller directed by Darren Aronofsky. The film, based on Charlie Huston’s novels, will hit theaters on August 29, 2025. Butler stars as Hank Thompson, a former baseball player who unexpectedly finds himself entangled in the violent criminal underworld of 1990s New York City.

The highly anticipated film comes from Protozoa and boasts a strong supporting cast, including Zoë Kravitz, Regina King, Liev Schreiber, Matt King, and Bad Bunny. Charlie Huston, who wrote the original books, also penned the screenplay, ensuring a faithful adaptation of his work.

Insidious 6 Delayed by a Full Year

In a scheduling shakeup, the untitled sixth installment of the Insidious horror franchise has been pushed back by a full year. Originally slated for release on August 29, 2025, the film will now hit theaters on August 21, 2026. The Insidious franchise, launched in 2010 with James Wan’s original film, has become one of the most enduring horror series, with its most recent installment, Insidious: The Red Door, grossing $189 million worldwide in 2023.
