This Christopher Nolan Blockbuster Is Leaving Netflix Despite Its Sky-High Rotten Tomatoes Scores – Watch It While You Can!

Stills from the film 'Inception'

With sky-high ratings, this mind-bending thriller won’t be around forever.

Netflix’s ever-changing library is about to lose another major blockbuster, and this time, it’s one of Christopher Nolan’s most celebrated films. If you haven’t revisited Inception recently — or never got around to watching it — now is the time. The sci-fi classic will be removed from the platform on February 28, leaving fans with just 15 days to experience (or re-experience) its stunning visuals and gripping narrative.

Unlike what some may fear, this doesn’t affect Interstellar, which remains available for streaming. However, Inception holds a special place in Nolan’s filmography, often considered even more beloved than Interstellar by many fans.

One of the 2010s’ Greatest Films Says Goodbye to Netflix

Released in 2010, Inception follows Dom Cobb, a thief with the rare ability to infiltrate people’s dreams and extract their most deeply buried secrets. His skills have made him a valuable asset in corporate espionage, but they have also cost him everything — his family, his peace of mind, and his ability to return home.

Now, Cobb is offered one last job that could redeem him: instead of stealing an idea, he must plant one inside another person’s mind — a mission so dangerous that his every move is watched by an unseen and deadly force.

A Sci-Fi Masterpiece That Still Dominates IMDb Rankings

Even over a decade later, Inception remains one of Nolan’s highest-rated films, holding an impressive 8.8 on IMDb. It ranks just below The Dark Knight (9.0) but surpasses Interstellar (8.7).

With a star-studded cast featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Elliot Page, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, and Michael Caine, the film was a massive hit at the box office, grossing around $840 million on a $160 million budget.

Inception

Critics and audiences alike continue to praise Inception, as reflected by its 87% critic score and 91% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

If you haven’t seen Inception or want to relive its thrilling twists one last time, now’s your chance — before it vanishes from Netflix’s catalog for the foreseeable future.
