The Question that Puzzled Millions of 'Solo Leveling' Viewers: Where did the Portals Come From?

Still from the series 'Solo Leveling: ReAwakening'

Their origin is explained through centuries-long struggle.

The second season of the anime Solo Leveling: ReAwakening has proven to be even more successful than the first. The finale recently aired, and discussions about it are still going strong. Fans are dissecting every frame of the series, looking for Easter eggs and references, while less experienced viewers are scrambling to solve the plot's mysteries.

The Clash of Rulers and Monarchs in Solo Leveling

The Creator, also known as the Absolute Being, cared little for his subjects and was only interested in entertainment. To fulfil this purpose, he created the Rulers and the Monarchs, beings who were designed to simultaneously protect and destroy humanity. Their powers were evenly matched, ensuring that their battle was endless.

When the Rulers decided to kill the Creator, they resorted to betrayal. Only one of them, Osborn, refused to join the rebellion. For his loyalty, the Creator granted him great power, but as the others turned against him, Osborn was forced to flee.

The Origins of the Portals in Solo Leveling

Eventually, the Monarchs triumphed and wiped out humanity. However, the Rulers used a special item to reverse the last ten years. They then opened the portals that allowed magic to enter the world. The Rulers hoped that the Hunters would gain new powers and be able to mount a strong resistance against the Monarchs. This set the stage for the larger story that would unfold.
