The Dexter universe is expanding once again, and this time, it’s bringing along a familiar face. Peter Dinklage, best known for his Emmy-winning role as Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones, has officially joined the cast of Dexter: Resurrection. He will take on the role of Leon Prater, a billionaire venture capitalist who presents himself as a generous philanthropist — but, as with many in Dexter’s world, he harbors dark secrets beneath the surface.
Dinklage joins an already star-studded lineup that includes Uma Thurman, along with returning Dexter franchise veterans David Zayas and James Remar. Michael C. Hall reprises his role as the infamous Dexter Morgan and will once again serve as the show’s narrator. The series, set in the present day, is currently in production in New York and is slated to premiere this summer on Paramount+ With Showtime.

How Dexter: Resurrection Fits into the Franchise
Showrunner Clyde Phillips describes Dexter: Resurrection as the next installment in the franchise, picking up after Dexter: New Blood, which aired in 2021. It will follow the shocking events that brought Dexter back into the spotlight, bridging the gap between New Blood and the prequel series Dexter: Original Sin, which explores the origins of the iconic serial killer.
Dinklage’s addition to the cast only heightens the anticipation for Dexter: Resurrection, promising a fresh, suspenseful twist in Dexter’s deadly game. With an elite cast and a gripping premise, fans are eager to see how this next chapter unfolds.
