Everybody remembers the menacing voice of General Grievous in Star Wars — a voice that sent chills down the spine of fans. Now, in a surprising twist, the same voice will be heard coming from a much sweeter and more lovable character: H.E.R.B.I.E. in The Fantastic Four. Empire reveals that Matthew Wood, the voice behind the infamous Star Wars villain, will bring the charming robot to life in the upcoming film.
Director Matt Shakman is already hyping up Wood’s performance, describing it as,
"He’s charming, he’s funny — but he also will break your heart, which I hope is emblematic of the movie."

H.E.R.B.I.E., originally introduced to replace Johnny Storm (The Human Torch) in The New Fantastic Four animated series, is set to play an integral role in the new film.
Shakman emphasized that H.E.R.B.I.E. is just as vital and alive as any other member of the cast, serving as Reed Richards' devoted companion both in the lab and out in space. Special effects supervisor Alistair Williams revealed that the "prime" version of H.E.R.B.I.E. features fully moving head and arms, with the robot even performing everyday tasks on set like cleaning, picking up toys, and serving Martinis. This blend of charm and practicality promises to make H.E.R.B.I.E. a standout character in the Fantastic Four universe.
