The American rock band Evanescence took part in creating the soundtrack for the upcoming anime series Devil May Cry, which is being developed by Mir studio with the support of Netflix. The band recorded an exclusive single Afterlife, which will be one of the main musical themes of the project.
The track Afterlife will be officially released on all streaming platforms on March 28, 2025. The day before, on March 27, the premiere of the lyric video will take place, in which you can see new footage from the anime.
The project is being handled by producer Adi Shankar, known for the anime Castlevania, which received high marks from viewers and critics.
The band Evanescence, led by vocalist Amy Lee, is known for its unique sound, combining elements of gothic rock, symphonic metal and alternative music. Their style perfectly matches the atmosphere of Devil May Cry – the dark but dynamic world of demon hunter Dante.
The announcement of the collaboration caused a strong reaction in the fan community. Many believe that Evanescence's music will harmoniously complement the series' entourage and emphasize the anime's setting – the series takes place in the world of the early 2000s.
