Quentin Tarantino Reveals Who He Considers the Best Actor of All Time — Everyone, Including Martin Scorsese, Will Agree

Quentin Tarantino, Robert De Niro

By the way, the actor was just recently presented with an honorary award at the Cannes Film Festival.

Although Quentin Tarantino himself has repeatedly proven that he has a rather specific taste, which is not shared by everyone, in terms of assessing the work of his colleagues in the industry, the director will certainly gather agreement from almost everyone.

Tarantino, who during his work on nine films managed to work with a huge number of the most famous actors, can boast of several collaborations with the same Leonardo DiCaprio or Christoph Waltz, but he considers the best in his field to be the one who played in only one of Tarantino's films - fans of Jackie Brown will guess who we are talking about.

Quentin Tarantino considers Robert De Niro the best actor of all time

Although Tarantino often notes the merits of his colleagues, it is Robert De Niro who occupies a special place in the director's heart. The latter has admitted more than once that, in his personal opinion, no one has yet been able to surpass the actor in his field or even come close to what De Niro has achieved over decades of work in cinema. Incidentally, Tarantino and De Niro even managed to work together once - in the hit crime drama Jackie Brown, the actor played a rather atypical role for himself, the simple-minded ex-convict Louis Garou.

Robert De Niro is now the winner of an honorary award at the Cannes Film Festival

A little less than a week ago, one of the main events in the world of cinematography, the Cannes Film Festival, kicked off in Cannes, at the opening ceremony of which Robert De Niro was awarded the honorary Palme d'Or for his contribution to the film industry. The award was presented to the actor by his friend and colleague Leonardo DiCaprio, with whom De Niro starred in such film as Killers of the Flower Moon. In his speech, De Niro himself thanked the film festival for the honor and criticized some political decisions that could potentially affect the development of cinema in the United States.
