Out With the Old, In With the New: The New Installment of 'Bondiana' to Make You Forget About Craig's Films

Daniel Craig

It will echo the classics of the franchise.

The new James Bond film marks the end of the era with Daniel Craig. The franchise returns to the classic style seen in Sean Connery’s films — lightheartedness, humor, and iconic moments that have become part of pop culture.

According to the Times, a fresh look into the future of the James Bond franchise has emerged, offering some intriguing details about what’s to come. While the biggest question of who will take over the iconic role remains unanswered, it has been revealed that the next Bond films will shift away from the darker, more serious tone of Daniel Craig’s era. Instead, the franchise is set to embrace a more classic, lighter style — one that’s easier to market with humor and memes. This change is likely to stir mixed feelings among longtime Bond enthusiasts.

As noted by the outlet, this isn’t the first time the James Bond series has faced uncertainty. After the release of Licence to Kill in 1989, starring Timothy Dalton, it took over six years for the studio to determine the future of the franchise. This led to the arrival of GoldenEye in 1995, introducing Pierce Brosnan as the new Bond. That six-year gap remains the longest hiatus between 007 films — at least, for now.
