Despite it's immense popularity, which has not waned even after many years, the Harry Potter films received quite a bit of criticism in their time — but they certainly cannot be called bad. Although each installment of the film franchise annually garners the attention of fans who repeatedly watch the films, only one from the entire series managed to make it to the list of the best films according to IMDb — and strangely enough, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is not included, despite still being considered the best film in the entire franchise.
Only the second part of Deathly Hallows made it into IMDb's top 250
In 2011, fans of J.K. Rowling's books eagerly awaited the release of the final film in the entire series, hoping that the film would properly conclude the story — and overall, their hopes were justified. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 grossed nearly $1.5 billion at the box office, placing David Yates among the most 'profitable' directors in film history. The film currently ranks 177th on the list, surpassing hits like Ben-Hur, Blade Runner, and Jaws.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 may not be the best film in the Harry Potter series, but it still deserves recognition
Although for several years the best film in terms of cinematography and plot development has been Alfonso Cuarón’s Prisoner of Azkaban, the second part of Deathly Hallows also received praise from critics and audiences — at least because it served as a perfect conclusion to the franchise. No other Harry Potter film carries as much drama, risk, and magnitude of events, and it kept viewers on the edge of their seats until practically the very end — it’s no surprise that the final showdown between Harry and Voldemort became one of the most memorable moments in the entire history of the franchise.
