If you blinked, you might’ve missed her. But Letitia Wright’s Shuri — first introduced in Black Panther and later spotted frantically working on Vision’s head in Infinity War — has been there, quietly shaping the Marvel Cinematic Universe from the tech labs of Wakanda. Now, she’s stepping out of the background.
The actress, who picked up the Black Panther mantle in Wakanda Forever after the heartbreaking loss of Chadwick Boseman, is ready to do more than tinker with vibranium. Speaking to Flip Your Wig following her official casting announcement in Avengers: Doomsday during Marvel Studios’ epic five-hour livestream, Wright offered just a glimpse of what’s to come.
"It’s just an ensemble of greatness, so I was just really excited to be a part of it," she said. "I’ve been a part of it before but in a more smaller way. Now I have a little bit more."

Cryptic? Naturally. But if Marvel has taught us anything, it’s that even "a little bit more" could mean world-saving tech, inter-realm diplomacy, or — let’s be honest — going toe-to-toe with some intergalactic nightmare.
No spoilers yet, of course. But Shuri’s been in the shadows long enough. Doomsday might just be her moment in the sun.
