Julianne Moore and Milly Alcock Star in First Netflix's Dark Comedy Mini-Series 'Sirens': First Look

Julianne Moore, Milly Alcock

Sirens is based on Metzler’s play Elemeno Pea and follows Devon, who is concerned about her sister Simone's unsettling relationship with the mysterious socialite Michaela Kell.

Netflix has announced the premiere date for Sirens, a dark comedy limited series created by Emmy-nominated writer Molly Smith Metzler (known for Maid) and executive produced by LuckyChap. The five-episode series, featuring Julianne Moore, Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus), and Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon), will debut on May 22.

Set over a dramatic weekend at the Kells' opulent beach estate, the series promises a sharp, sexy, and darkly humorous look at themes of women, power, and class dynamics. Moore takes on the role of Michaela, while Fahy plays Devon and Alcock portrays Simone. The cast also includes Kevin Bacon (Peter Kell), Glenn Howerton (Ethan Corbin III), Bill Camp (Bruce DeWitt), and Felix Solis (Jose).

In addition to her writing and showrunning duties, Metzler will executive produce through Quiet Coyote, alongside Dani Gorin, Tom Ackerley, and Margot Robbie for LuckyChap. Emmy nominee Nicole Kassell (Watchmen) will direct the first two episodes and serve as an executive producer.

Sirens Still

Sirens is the first project from Metzler's partnership with Netflix, established in 2022, following her successful series Maid.
