Paramount Home Media Distribution is set to release a special 4K Blu-ray SteelBook Edition of Joe Dante's beloved film Small Soldiers (1998) on July 22.
The film follows teenager Alan (Gregory Smith), who unknowingly purchases a set of Commando Elite action figures that have been infused with advanced military technology. These toys, led by the ruthless Chip (voiced by Tommy Lee Jones), spring to life and take their mission seriously, launching an all-out war against their rivals, the Gorgonites. The Gorgonites, led by the wise Archer (voiced by Frank Langella), are determined to defend themselves against the Commando Elite's aggressive tactics.
As chaos ensues, Alan finds himself caught in the middle of this toy war alongside his neighbor and crush, Christy (Kirsten Dunst).
