Once upon a Hollywood moment, Jessica Biel nearly slipped into the iconic shoes of Allie Hamilton — only things got, well, messy. Literally.
As EW reveals, promoting her new Prime Video thriller The Better Sister on The View, Biel took a quick detour down memory lane — straight to The Notebook. And no, not the swoony love story part. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre part.
"I was shooting The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, I was super young, and I auditioned for The Notebook, which was going to be the greatest option for me in my career, like, 'What an amazing thing to get after that'," she recalled. But fate had a different script.

Ryan Gosling and director Nick Cassavetes came to her trailer — a very on-brand Hollywood moment — where the audition happened, blood and all.
"In my mind I just remember having blood on me and being in that white tank top, and took my cowboy hat off, and was like, 'Okay, I’d love to fall in love with you, let’s do this.' It was very strange, a very Hollywood moment, you know?"

Needless to say, the role went to Rachel McAdams. But Biel's story? It’s the kind of scene you don’t forget.
