Jared Padalecki is officially stepping into the world of The Boys, reuniting with his former Supernatural co-stars Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins in the hit Amazon series’ final season. However, while fans are thrilled about the reunion, Padalecki himself admits he has little idea what his role will actually entail.
A Mystery Role That Even Padalecki Doesn’t Fully Understand
In a recent interview with Business Insider, Padalecki revealed that his involvement in The Boys is still shrouded in uncertainty. "I don’t know a whole lot about it, which is effing terrifying," he admitted. Despite being confirmed for Season 5, he has yet to learn how his character will fit into the brutal and satirical superhero universe.
"I don’t know what we’re doing. I don’t know if we, like, bump into each other. I don’t know much about it. They’re still trying to write and figure out who’s gonna be there. But it’ll be the end of this month," he shared.
Padalecki joins Ackles, who has played the morally questionable Soldier Boy since Season 3, as well as Collins, whose role has yet to be disclosed. His addition to the show was orchestrated by The Boys creator Eric Kripke, the mastermind behind Supernatural. "I know Eric Kripke very well," Padalecki explained. "I know The Boys very well. He’s like, 'Hey, you wanna come play?' I’m like, 'Yes, I think?'"

Joining The Boys Is Both Exciting and Terrifying
One of his biggest concerns? The show’s penchant for pushing boundaries — including nudity. "Literally my text to Eric Kripke was like, 'Hey, if I’m getting naked, just give me like a month’s notice to eat broccoli and rice and chicken breasts and all day long just sit there doing push-ups,'" Padalecki joked.
While details about his character remain unknown, Padalecki’s involvement adds another layer of excitement to The Boys’ final season. With Ackles and Collins also in the mix, longtime Supernatural fans are in for a nostalgic yet unpredictable ride in one of TV’s most unfiltered and chaotic series.
