Guy Ritchie returns with Fountain of Youth, a globe-trotting adventure starring Natalie Portman, John Krasinski, and Eiza González. A newly released trailer introduces a story that blends ancient mythology with a high-stakes modern heist.
Written by James Vanderbilt, whose script had been circulating in Hollywood for over a year, the film centers on two estranged siblings (Portman and Krasinski) who team up to locate the legendary Fountain of Youth. To find it, they must decipher historical clues that could lead to immortality.
Judging by the trailer, Fountain of Youth channels the spirit of National Treasure and Indiana Jones, though it’s reportedly heading straight to Apple TV+ on May 23 rather than theaters.
While Ritchie built his name on gritty British crime comedies like Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, his filmography has grown increasingly varied, with titles like Aladdin, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., and King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. Recent projects such as Wrath of Man and The Covenant (2023) have drawn positive attention for their technical flair and stylistic boldness.
Ritchie continues to stay busy, with two more films — Wife & Dog and In the Grey — already shot and potentially set for release later this year.
With a star-powered cast, a mythology-rich plot, and Ritchie’s signature energy, Fountain of Youth could be a standout in his ever-expanding lineup.
