Lord Farquaad, the scheming ruler of Duloc with a lust for power and insecurities about his short stature, may return in Shrek 5. Despite being literally gobbled up by a dragon in the first film, actor John Lithgow is happy to return to the role.

79-year-old John Lithgow, who gave his voice to Lord Farquaad in 2001, admitted that he would gladly return to this role.
