HBO’s long-awaited Harry Potter reboot is finally pulling back the curtain — and first up are the Malfoys. Rising star Lux Pratt will slip into Draco Malfoy’s iconic Slytherin robes, while the ever-compelling Johnny Flynn takes on the role of his aristocratic father, Lucius. Get ready for a darker, moodier version of the pure-blood duo — with less hair gel and more emotional nuance (we hope).
But the casting news doesn’t stop at the Manor.
Alongside the Malfoys, HBO revealed the new faces of several fan-favourites:
-
Molly Weasley will be played by The IT Crowd’s brilliant Katherine Parkinson, which promises a warm, witty take on the mother hen of the Burrow.
-
Seamus Finnigan, the Gryffindor with a flair for accidental pyrotechnics, goes to Leo Earley.
-
Parvati Patil, known for her elegance and Divination skills, will be brought to life by Alessia Leonie.
-
And Lavender Brown, whose teen romance drama stirred quite the cauldron, will be portrayed by Sienna Muss.
The new cast is diverse, intriguing and already sparking debates online. But all eyes remain fixed on the Malfoy men — because where there’s blond ambition, there’s bound to be trouble.
Stay tuned, Potterheads.
