The setting takes us back in time, with the teen using a clear phone to chat with her friends on a landline, reminiscent of the 90s. True to Elle Woods' style, she dons a pink hoodie and is surrounded by her pink bedding.
Created by Laura Kittrell, the series explores the life experiences of this high school student, revealing what shaped her into the iconic character we know from the original Legally Blonde film.
The cast includes June Diane Raphael as Elle’s mother, Eva; Tom Everett Scott as her father, Wyatt; Gabrielle Policano as Liz, who is portrayed as the anti-Elle; Jacob Moskovitz as Miles, the star athlete charmed by Elle; and Chandler Kinney as Kimberly, a sharp-tongued senior who disapproves of Elle.

Showrunners Kittrell and Caroline Dries serve as executive producers alongside film franchise star Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter from Hello Sunshine, along with producer Marc Platt. Jason Moore (Pitch Perfect) directs the first two episodes. Elle is produced by Hello Sunshine and Amazon MGM Studios.
