From 'Bullet Train' to Bank Heist: Leitch Picks 'Nosferatu' Star to Lead His New Film

Nicholas Hoult in 'Nosferatu'

Hollywood’s busiest chameleon gears up for a summer shoot.

Director David Leitch is assembling his next big-screen thrill ride, and he’s bringing in one of the most versatile rising stars in Hollywood to lead it. According to Deadline, Nicholas Hoult has signed on to star in Leitch’s upcoming untitled bank heist thriller, a high-profile project from Amazon MGM Studios, Imagine Entertainment, and 87North.The film, written by Mark Bianculli, is set for a theatrical release.

While plot details remain under wraps, Leitch’s past work — from Deadpool 2 to Bullet Train — suggests another stylish action spectacle. He’ll produce the film with Kelly McCormick (87North), alongside Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody, and Allan Mandelbaum (Imagine).

A Summer Shoot and a Busy Star

The project gained momentum after Leitch and McCormick joined earlier this year. Amazon quickly acquired the rights, and Hoult signed on shortly after. Filming is expected to begin this summer.

Nicholas Hoult

Hoult’s on a strong run: he wrapped Clint Eastwood’s Juror #2, earned acclaim for The Order, and ended 2024 with Nosferatu. He’s set to appear as Lex Luthor in James Gunn’s upcoming Superman and is known for The Great, The Favourite, and the X-Men series.

Top Producers Behind the Scenes

The film unites two production powerhouses. 87North is behind hits like Bullet Train, Nobody, and The Fall Guy, with upcoming projects including Kung Fu (with Donnie Yen) and Red Shirt (with Channing Tatum). Imagine Entertainment is producing After the Hunt (Luca Guadagnino, starring Julia Roberts), The Gringo Hunters (Netflix), and documentaries on Barbara Walters and Richard Avedon.

With a proven director, a rising star, and powerhouse producers, this untitled heist film is shaping up to be one of Amazon MGM’s most exciting theatrical bets.
