In December 2022, Freddie Flintoff suffered severe facial injuries and broken ribs when the Morgan Super 3 he was driving flipped at 130 mph during filming at Dunsfold Aerodrome. The BBC subsequently suspended Top Gear and reportedly reached a £9 million settlement with Flintoff.
In the upcoming Disney+ documentary Flintoff, premiering April 25, Flintoff recounts the vivid memories of the crash and its aftermath, including anxiety, nightmares, and flashbacks. The film features interviews with his wife Rachael and friends like James Corden and Jack Whitehall.
Since the accident, Flintoff has returned to cricket as head coach of the England Lions and hosted a revival of the TV game show Bullseye. The BBC has indefinitely 'rested' Top Gear following the incident.
