Some viewers dropped Breaking Bad because of its supposedly slow first season (even though the showrunners originally planned to end it there), and Game of Thrones ended in a way many fans still haven’t forgiven. But there are shows that are flawless from beginning to end. Here’s a top 5 of such series, where every season is a masterpiece.
1. Better Call Saul (6 seasons)
Breaking Bad set the bar high, and creating a worthy follow-up seemed like a daunting task. Yet Better Call Saul not only met expectations — it might’ve surpassed them. This prequel-spinoff follows two timelines: how Jimmy McGill became shady lawyer Saul Goodman, and how he hid from authorities after Walter White’s empire collapsed.
The first season may feel slow, but every season after is packed with tense scams, heists, and clever plans. New characters like Howard Hamlin and Lalo Salamanca were phenomenal additions to the Breaking Bad universe. At times, Better Call Saul even outshone its predecessor, proving Vince Gilligan learned from the past and created a near-perfect show.

2. Mad Men (7 seasons)
AMC was unbeatable in the mid-2000s — Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, and of course, Mad Men. This series deserves praise for never delivering a weak season. Set in the 1960s, it follows an advertising agency navigating a world of social and cultural change.
The star of the show is Don Draper, played by Jon Hamm. His character arc — from personal struggles to adapting to a changing world — is compelling. While some seasons were stronger than others, none can be called bad. Mad Men is a gold standard for drama, with every episode a mini-masterpiece.

3. The Good Place (4 seasons)
A comedy like no other, The Good Place starts off as a quirky joke-fest but quickly proves it has much more up its sleeve. The series follows Eleanor, a selfish woman who ends up in the afterlife by mistake — and now must prove she belongs there, with help from ethics professor Chidi.
Each season has its own arc, and a mid-season twist in season one completely changes the game. Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani, and Jason are flawed yet lovable characters whose journeys blend humor with heartfelt growth. The Good Place is television heaven, with not a single weak season.

4. The Sopranos (6 seasons)
No crime drama compares to The Sopranos. This original HBO project centers on a New Jersey crime family, particularly its patriarch Tony, who juggles mob life with mental health struggles, regularly seeing a psychiatrist.
Sopranos is complex and thought-provoking. The criminal characters are objectively bad people, but it’s hard not to empathize with them. Some episodes feel like stand-alone stories, while others masterfully push the overall narrative. None of its six seasons can be called a weak link. It’s a classic that set the standard for every crime drama that followed.

5. Peaky Blinders (6 seasons)
Set in 1910s England, Peaky Blinders follows the Shelby crime family as they fight for control over Birmingham’s underworld. Cillian Murphy’s role as Thomas Shelby is one of the finest of his career.
Each season builds on the last, with tension rising to a boiling point. The show expertly weaves multiple storylines while maintaining top-tier quality across all six seasons. Peaky Blinders is proof that a show can remain consistently excellent without losing its punch or momentum.
