Surreal Adventures Return in 'Rick and Morty' Season 8 on Adult Swim: New Trailer
Rick and Morty Season 8 is set to premiere on May 25, 2025, at 11 pm EST on Adult Swim, marking the show's return after a year and a half since Season 7 concluded.
The new season promises more wild interdimensional adventures as demented genius Rick Sanchez and his traumatized grandson Morty dive into bizarre worlds — undersea enclaves, futuristic farms growing crystalline corn, and cities worshipping giant eggs.
The trailer teases these surreal locations, hinting at the chaos to come. According to the official synopsis, "Rick and Morty is back for season 8! Life has meaning again! Anything is possible! Expect adventures with Summer, Jerry, Beth, and the other Beth. Maybe Butter Bot will get a new task? Whatever happens, you can't keep Rick and Morty down for long. People have tried!"
Voice actors Ian Cardoni and Harry Belden return as Rick and Morty. The show remains exclusive to Adult Swim but has been renewed for seasons 9 and 10. Co-creator Dan Harmon describes Season 8 as a return to form, emphasizing that it’s part of a gradual process to regain momentum and excitement for the series’ future.
