Although the official trailer for Wicked:For Good has yet to be released, CinemaCon 2025 gave us a sneak peek with exclusive footage from the highly anticipated sequel to the Oscar-nominated film. Since CinemaCon is closed to the public, these first-look reveals are typically kept under wraps. However, all the exciting updates and live descriptions from Universal and Focus Features’ studio presentation are here for you.
The trailer opens with Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba confronting Ariana Grande’s Glinda on the balcony of her new home in the Emerald City, followed by a retro Universal Studios logo. Erivo’s rendition of "No Good Deed" plays as Elphaba sparks a revolution in Oz. She writes "The Wizard Lies" across the sky while flying on her broom, as the Wizard himself issues a threatening warning.
The scene shifts to a fresh interpretation of "For Good" by Grande and Erivo. Quick flashes of Glinda’s wedding appear, with her walking through a floor illuminated by floating lights. Though her face isn’t clearly seen, glimpses of Dorothy and her companions emerge, traveling the yellow brick road and conversing with the Wizard.

In a pivotal moment, Jonathan Bailey’s Fiyero aims a gun at Ozian soldiers before handing Elphaba her broom. As the chorus of "For Good" swells, Elphaba and Glinda share a touching moment, holding hands and reflecting on their enduring friendship.
The trailer concludes with Elphaba confronting the Wizard in his chamber, broom in hand, before a final shot of her zooming away from the flying monkeys. The screen fades to black, revealing the Wicked:For Good title card. The highly anticipated sequel is set for release in 2026.
