Netflix officially announced that Bridgerton will return in early 2026 during its May 2025 Upfront presentation. This timing was anticipated since the series was absent from Netflix’s 2026 slate, leading fans to expect a return the following year. Showrunner Jess Brownell explained that the two-year gap between seasons 3 and 4 is due to the lengthy production process — filming takes about eight months, followed by editing and dubbing into multiple languages. Writing also requires significant time, making a faster schedule challenging.
Fans can look forward to more Regency romance and sibling stories arriving early next year.
