We all remember the legendary animated classic The Prince of Egypt, with the late Val Kilmer voicing Moses. Now, a recent South Korean animated film starring Oscar Isaac as Jesus has officially surpassed that milestone, breaking the record once held by The Prince of Egypt.
The King of Kings brings the life of Jesus Christ to the screen through the unique lens of a Charles Dickens-style narration.
Oscar Isaac voices Jesus, joined by an impressive ensemble including Kenneth Branagh, Uma Thurman, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, and more. The film has recently made headlines for surpassing the success of the beloved classic The Prince of Egypt.

According to Deadline, the animated biblical epic The King of Kings has made an impressive entrance at the box office, earning £15 million (approximately $19 million) in its opening weekend.
Despite placing second behind A Minecraft Movie, the film has already made history — overtaking the 1998 classic The Prince of Egypt, which previously held the record for the highest-grossing opening weekend for a biblical animated feature with $14 million.
