Mark Hamill on Star Wars
With gratitude, Hamill bid farewell to the role of Luke Skywalker — a role that changed his life. In the interview, the actor admitted he never anticipated the franchise would grow to such a scale, but feels it's the right moment to leave the legendary Jedi behind.
"My deal is, I had my time. I think they should focus on the future and all the new characters," the 73-year-old said thoughtfully.

Hamill also made it clear that he wants fans to remember Luke as he once was — vibrant, emotional, and real.
"And by the way, when I disappeared in [The Last Jedi], I left my robes behind. And there’s no way I’m gonna appear as a naked Force ghost," he joked, referencing the possibility of returning as a Force spirit.
The Future of Star Wars
The Star Wars universe is preparing for a new chapter — Lucasfilm has announced the upcoming film The New Jedi Order, which will continue the story after the events of The Rise of Skywalker.

Daisy Ridley will return as Rey, now in the role of a mentor, working to rebuild the Jedi Order 15 years later. The film will be directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, promising a fresh perspective on the galactic saga.
