Stills from the movie 'Mickey 17' (2025)

An unusual approach to acting that keeps his loved ones guessing.

At the London premiere of Mickey 17, Robert Pattinson opened up about his unconventional preparation methods for movie roles. Known for his intense commitment to characters, Pattinson revealed that he often wanders around practicing lines in various accents, much to the confusion of those around him. "People always ask me, 'Why do you speak like a taxi driver in a German accent?'" he joked.

Despite the demanding premise of Mickey 17, Pattinson described the filming process as one of the easiest and most enjoyable experiences in his career. Directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Bong Joon Ho, the sci-fi comedy follows Mickey Barnes, an employee who is repeatedly cloned and sacrificed for the sake of his job. Pattinson, a long-time admirer of Bong, expressed excitement about working with the director, calling the script "unusual, bizarre, and funny."
