The highly anticipated crime drama Whisper Man, based on British author Alex North’s New York Times bestselling novel, is set to take an interesting turn. Per Deadline, with Hollywood heavyweight Robert De Niro already on board, the production has now added Michelle Monaghan (The White Lotus) and Adam Scott (Severance) to its impressive cast.
The story follows a crime writer whose eight-year-old son is abducted, leading him to seek help from his father, a retired police detective. As the investigation unfolds, shocking connections emerge between the kidnapping and a decade-old case involving a notorious serial killer known as "The Whisper Man."
James Ashcroft will direct Whisper Man, with Ben Jacoby and Chase Palmer handling the script adaptation. The film is produced by Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Michael Disco for AGBO, continuing their collaboration with Netflix. Production is set to begin this spring on the East Coast.

AGBO and the Russo brothers have a strong track record with Netflix, producing hits like Mosul (2019), Extraction (2020), The Gray Man (2022), and Extraction 2 (2023). These films all made it to Netflix’s Top 10 list worldwide.
