Reuniting after their tense psychological pairing in Angel of Mine, Noomi Rapace and Luke Evans are set to share the screen once more — this time against the backdrop of war and survival.
The duo will lead Lorraine Darrow ’s upcoming action thriller Traction, a character-driven tale set amid the turmoil of modern-day Chechnya.
Rapace stars as Kate, a former U.S. soldier now heading a humanitarian mission deep in a war-ravaged region. When the situation spirals into chaos, she finds herself reluctantly joined by a jaded American war photographer (Evans), along with a local schoolteacher and her injured student. As the group attempts to flee encroaching troops and volatile guerrilla fighters, the line between mission and survival blurs.

Production on Traction will kick off this August in Spain, with WestEnd Films handling worldwide sales. The project is already generating attention at the Cannes market, buoyed by the high-profile casting and Darrow’s reputation for tense, human-centred storytelling.
