This samurai western takes place in 1790s Scotland. A young Japanese woman named Tornado finds herself in danger when her puppeteer father is killed by the Sugarman (Tim Roth) gang and begins to threaten her. Tornado steals the criminals' gold and takes revenge using her samurai skills.
The Guardian writer praised John Maclean's surreal western for its "strangeness" that grabs attention and its charismatic leading lady. He also noted that the film shows the director's unique cinematic language.
