The famous trio from the series Supernatural are back in action! Yes, you heard that right. Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins, and Jared Padalecki will reunite, but this time in a different project by the show’s original showrunner — Eric Kripke.
This may seem unbelievable, as the last series of Supernatural ended after a record-breaking 15 seasons, and it appeared there was nothing left to say. However, Kripke has decided to reunite the beloved trio once again and has found a way to bring them together.
Jensen Ackles confirmed the news by posting a video on Instagram, announcing that the three will star in the final fifth season of Kripke's other successful project, The Boys.
The Boys premiered on Amazon Prime Video on 26th July 2019. Set in a world where superheroes are corrupted by power, it follows a group of vigilantes, "The Boys," as they expose the dark side of these heroes.The show has been praised for its sharp satire, gripping storylines, and strong performances. It has earned several awards, including Primetime Emmy nominations and Critics' Choice Super Awards.
Jensen Ackles joined in season three as Soldier Boy, a parody of Captain America. His character is a former superhero and leader of "Payback," exploring themes of power and betrayal.
The fourth season was released in 2024, with the fifth and final season expected in 2026. The Boys is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
