Mel Gibson definitely has a favorite installment in the Mad Max franchise. The actor, who starred in the original Mad Max films in the 80s, recently spoke about it for the first time and revealed which part of the series stands out as his favorite.
According to a report by Screen Rant, Gibson recently appeared at MegaCon Orlando, where he discussed his experience in the Mad Max franchise. When asked about his favorite film, he shared his thoughts on the second installment: Mad Max 2:The Road Warrior.
"I think the second installment was the best. It was just pure. It was just a chase. From an audience point of view, I thought it was the cleanest. It had some excellent thrills. No special effects, they were just throwing stuff out of a truck," Gibson explained.

Let’s remind you that Mel Gibson starred in all three parts of the Mad Max franchise. He first portrayed Max Rockatansky in Mad Max (1979), where the character is a vengeful lawman in a post-apocalyptic world. In Mad Max2:The Road Warrior (1981), Max becomes a more heroic figure, protecting a group of survivors.
Finally, in Mad Max:Beyond Thunderdome (1985), he faces a new, complex society and is drawn into battles in a "Thunderdome" arena. Gibson’s portrayal of Max made him a legendary figure in the action genre.
