A star-studded ensemble, Daniel Craig’s refreshed Benoit Blanc, and stories of on-set camaraderie.

The Knives Out franchise is back with its third installment, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, set to premiere on Netflix in 2025. The upcoming film brings together an impressive all-star cast that has already been described as a "cast from heaven."

Glenn Close, one of the newest additions to the franchise, spoke to PEOPLE in August about her experience working on the film.

"This coming two weeks, we have scenes where all of us are in the same room, and I just can't wait to see what he does and what he does and what she does. It’s so much fun," said the 77-year-old actress.

In addition to Close, Wake Up Dead Man boasts a stellar lineup, including franchise newcomer Josh O’Connor, Fleabag star Andrew Scott, Priscilla actress Cailee Spaeny, as well as Kerry Washington, Jeremy Renner, Mila Kunis, Josh Brolin, and returning star Daniel Craig.

Craig, who reprises his role as the iconic detective Benoit Blanc, will once again lead the mystery. Netflix has teased this chapter as Blanc’s "most dangerous case yet." Director Rian Johnson has already shared a first glimpse from the set, revealing Craig sporting noticeably longer hair — a fresh new look that hints at an evolved version of the beloved character.

The Knives Out series has consistently featured top-tier actors, from Ana de Armas and Chris Evans in the 2019 original to Kate Hudson and Janelle Monáe in 2022’s Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. While each installment introduces an entirely new ensemble, Craig remains the only actor to reprise his role across the films.

For Josh O’Connor, who joins the franchise for the first time, working on Knives Out 3 came with a few luxurious surprises. In an engaging conversation with Daniel Craig for Variety, the Challengers star fondly recalled his time on set — and the comfort of his trailer.

"The trailers! That’s the best trailer I’ve ever had in my life. It’s better than my flat in London," O’Connor, 34, admitted to Craig, 56, adding with a laugh, "And I spent a lot of time knocking on your door."

Reflecting further on the production, O’Connor shared how close the cast became during the shoot.

"I’ve never experienced anything like it on a film set. We were all in each other’s pockets for three months. Particularly you and me. Most of the time you and me," he told Craig.

Directed by Rian Johnson, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery is already shaping up to be one of Netflix’s most anticipated releases of 2025. With its exceptional cast, fresh twists, and Benoit Blanc’s most perilous case yet, the film promises to deliver another unforgettable chapter in the Knives Out universe.
