'Back in Action': Cameron Diaz Feels Safe on Set for One Simple Reason

Cameron Diaz

The actress had never voiced her concerns before.

Cameron Diaz hinted at one of the main reasons why she left the film industry 10 years ago. It turns out that even a star like her faced significant challenges on set.

In an interview on the SkipTinro podcast, the actress indirectly hinted at the issues that existed in the film industry 10 years ago, which are not as serious today. Thanks to this, she returned to the set with a peaceful heart.

"The industry is so different. I mean, I definitely have to say that MeToo changed everything. You walk on to the set and it is different. There was always that one guy, ou know, on set, that you were like, God, here he comes again''.

Diaz revealed that before filming the new movies, she was contacted by human resources to discuss proper behavior and was given an "anonymous hotline" for the cast and crew to report any issues

"I was like, 'Wow, that's amazing.' The level of secutiry and safety you feel as a woman now on set is great. I had never felt that before this film," She noted with relief.

It’s worth mentioning that Cameron Diaz made her return to the big screen after a long break with her new film Back in Action. The actress, who took a hiatus from Hollywood for nearly a decade, stars alongside Jamie Foxx in this highly anticipated action-comedy. Fans are eager to see the beloved star back in action, and her return marks a new chapter in her career.
