After years of delays, Noah Hawley’s long-awaited Alien: Earth has finally released its first teaser.
Set 40 years before Ridley Scott’s 1979 classic, the series follows a group of soldiers investigating a crashed ship carrying a xenomorph on Earth. Initially greenlit over five years ago, production faced multiple setbacks due to COVID, recasting, and the SAG-AFTRA strikes.
Hawley, known for Fargo and Legion, serves as showrunner, writer, and director. The cast includes Sydney Chandler in the lead role, with Timothy Olyphant as her mentor. Notably, the series avoids major Hollywood stars, much like the upcoming Alien: Romulus.
Alien: Earth is set to premiere this summer on FX/Hulu, marking Hawley’s bold take on the legendary sci-fi franchise.
