For anyone wondering if Samuel L. Jackson is finally ready to collect his pension and retire his legendary on-screen presence — think again. The answer, straight from the source (well, almost), comes courtesy of his wife, LaTanya Richardson.
LaTanya, 75, spoke exclusively to PEOPLE while attending the 2025 Tony Awards junket at Sofitel New York on Thursday, May 8. And when it comes to stepping away from the spotlight, both she and Samuel, 76, are in full agreement: not anytime soon.
"My husband and I — Sam and I — both have said we're going to do it till the wheels fall off," LaTanya revealed. "We both have this pact between us that if we see ourselves doing more than we should be doing, we’ll pull each other in and say, 'It’s time. Come in the house,' and do it that way."

She continued, "We are just going to do this as long as life allows."
So if you were hoping for a quiet farewell tour, don’t hold your breath. Samuel L. Jackson isn’t retiring — he’s just getting started, again and again.
