Warner Bros. is shaking up the superhero landscape with a daring new vision for the DC Universe (DCU) — and it hinges on four legendary icons. According to DC Film News In a game-changing investor call, CEO David Zaslav unveiled Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Supergirl as the foundation stones of a bold new era. This isn’t just another reboot; it’s a strategic blueprint designed to redefine what fans expect from their favourite heroes, under the watchful eyes of DC Studios’ co-heads James Gunn and Peter Safran.
Zaslav emphasized the global power of these characters:
"When you look at our titles... Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, Supergirl. So those are — we look at those as big asset builders and big differentiators."
This focus aligns with the upcoming Gods and Monsters chapter, promising a cinematic universe that’s fresh, expansive, and deeply interconnected.
The slate launches with Superman on July 11, 2025, starring David Corenswet, followed by Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow on June 26, 2026, featuring Milly Alcock. Meanwhile, The Brave and the Bold will bring a new Batman and Robin into the spotlight — a stark departure from Robert Pattinson’s The Batman, which remains separate from the DCU.
Supergirl’s new starring role has raised eyebrows, but Zaslav’s confidence in her story, especially the Woman of Tomorrow arc, shows Warner Bros.’ intent to broaden the DCU’s appeal and diversity.

With these four iconic pillars, Warner Bros. is set to reshape the DC Universe — blending legacy and fresh narratives to captivate fans worldwide.
