The anime Solo Leveling quickly became a fan favourite thanks to its gripping story, where monster hunter Sung Jin-Woo levels up in a world where no one else can. With high stakes and slick animation, the show made a powerful debut — and didn’t lose momentum. Season 2 followed just a year later.
But when it comes to Season 3, things aren’t so straightforward. And here’s the spoiler: we might be waiting quite a while.
What’s the hold-up with Solo Leveling Season 3?
The first two seasons were pre-planned — Aniplex ordered 25 episodes, which the studio split into two parts and produced almost back-to-back. That’s why the gap between Seasons 1 and 2 was so short.

However, a third season wasn’t part of the original deal. That means the project still needs to be greenlit, and as of now, there’s been no official announcement. Hopes for a January 2026 release — quietly entertained by optimistic fans — are fading fast.
Some industry analysts believe we might not see new episodes until the first half of 2026 at the earliest. Others are even more cautious, suggesting a 2027 release might be more realistic.
What to expect from Solo Leveling Season 3
Season 2 adapted up to Chapter 110 of the original manhwa, covering the Jeju Island Raid and Recruitment attempts. If the anime continues faithfully, Season 3 is likely to include several major arcs: — Ajin Guild (Chapters 111–122) — Double Dungeon (Chapters 123–131) — Japanese Crisis (Chapters 132–139) — International Hunter Conference (Chapters 140–149)

In short, there’s plenty of intense material still to come — and even if the wait is long, it promises to be worth it.
