Unveiling the Origins of Death: 'Final Destination Bloodlines' Trailer Released

Still from the movie 'Final Destination: Bloodlines' (2025)

The early origins of Death’s sadistic design are set to be explored in the new franchise instalment, Final Destination Bloodlines, and the official trailer has finally arrived this week.

Watch the new trailer for Final Destination Bloodlines below and prepare for the franchise’s first new film in fourteen years, hitting theatres on 16 May 2025.

The latest trailer provides insight into the film’s storyline, which centres on the children and grandchildren of a woman who managed to cheat Death many years before the original Final Destination movie. It appears she has been evading Death for some time, but it has finally caught up with her, intent on claiming the souls that were never meant to exist.

This new chapter in New Line Cinema’s successful franchise promises to “take audiences back to the very beginning.” Here’s the official synopsis for Final Destination Bloodlines:

Plagued by a violent recurring nightmare, college student Stefanie returns home to find the one person who might be able to break the cycle and save her family from the grisly fate that awaits them all.

Final Destination Bloodlines stars Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Rya Kihlstedt, and Anna Lore, alongside Brec Bassinger. The late horror legend Tony Todd will make his final big-screen appearance in Final Destination Bloodlines, reprising his role as the recurring franchise character William Bludworth.

Directed by Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky, Final Destination Bloodlines is rated “R” for “strong violent/grisly accidents and language.” The screenplay is penned by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor, with the story by Jon Watts, Guy Busick, and Lori Evans Taylor, based on characters created by Jeffrey Reddick.
