The third season of From has come to an end, leaving fans thrilled and deep in thought. It's still unclear why all the people are kept locked up in "Fromville," but the reason why children only appear to two people, repeating the mysterious word "ankui," is now clear.
What the children say in From?
In the season three finale, it was revealed that a long-standing fan theory was correct, and the word "ankui" translates to "remember." Tabitha and Jade, having figured out the mystery behind the messages in the bottles (the numbers are notes), began playing music in the forest. At the call of the familiar melody, the children arrived, and the main characters were overcome with emotion.
Tabitha and Jade, who had entered the town with her family on the same day, remembered that they had been trapped in this cycle countless times. After dying, they reincarnated and were locked up again and again, trying to save their own daughter. It was she who appeared to them, asking them to "remember."

Children at the center of the plot
In this episode, one of the characters, Fatima, gave birth. But not to a human or an unknown creature — rather, she gave birth to the monster Smiley, who was killed in season two. It was explained to the characters that the creatures that appear at night were once humans. However, after making a deal with some evil force, they traded their children for immortality. Why aren’t Tabitha and Jade among them? Most likely because they decided to correct their mistake.
Time travel
Julie, the daughter of the main character, decided to return to the ancient crypt, where she would travel to different points in time. Her brother warned her that this was dangerous and that the story could not be changed. Based on the finale, it seems that she ignored his warning. At the very end of the episode, the changed Julie (most likely from the future) arrived at her father’s side to save him from a terrible fate but was too late.

Next to Ethan appeared someone in a yellow jacket — this person had called him on a non-working phone in the first season. It seems that the viewers were introduced to the main antagonist, but this will be revealed in season four, which was announced just before the season three finale.
