Scarlet Witch Returning for the New Avengers Movie? The Answer’s Disappointing
The actress has confirmed she won’t reprise her role as Wanda.
Elizabeth Olsen, renowned for her portrayal of Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), has confirmed she will not reprise her role in the upcoming films Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers:Secret Wars.
She cited a desire to explore diverse roles beyond the superhero genre, especially after an intense filming schedule for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Olsen's decision aligns with her recent focus on projects like The Assessment and an upcoming FX pilot titled Seven Sisters.
While her absence from these Avengers films is notable, it does not signify an end to her association with Marvel, leaving open the possibility of future appearances as Wanda.
