Summer 2025 promises to be hot not just in terms of weather, but also at the box office. Online platform Fandango surveyed over three thousand moviegoers to find out which upcoming films they’re most excited about. The results show that dinosaurs, superheroes, and childhood nostalgia are making a big comeback.
At number one is Jurassic World: Rebirth. The saga of prehistoric predators is experiencing a new revival. Audiences are hoping the film will deliver that classic blend of spectacle, danger, and science fiction that made the franchise beloved in the first place. And judging by the hype, dinosaurs are far from going extinct in the public’s imagination.
A reboot of Fantastic Four starring Pedro Pascal is also generating major interest. The story has made it to the screen twice before, but this time promises a more serious approach. Marvel fans are holding their breath — perhaps this version will finally win over both critics and audiences?

Third place goes to the eighth installment of Mission: Impossible. Tom Cruise clearly has no intention of slowing down and continues performing the most insane stunts without a double — now just for the thrill of it. Audiences keep coming back, knowing they’re in for a high-adrenaline ride.
The top ten also includes several other major titles: the new Superman, Marvel’s Thunderbolts, the post-apocalyptic sequel 28 Years Later, the magical How to Train Your Dragon and Lilo & Stitch, the action-packed Ballerina, and the return of the cult comedy Freaky Friday.
In short, theaters this summer will be bursting at the seams. And audiences once again have every reason to grab popcorn and dive into the worlds of their favorite stories.
