The Los Angeles fires prompted Vin Diesel to once again take the director’s chair. This decision was influenced by someone very close to him.
Vin Diesel decided to film the final installment of Fast & Furious in Los Angeles, the very place where it all began 25 years ago. Over the years, many Fast & Furious films have taken the crew to various locations (Japan, England, Germany), but now it's time to return to the starting point.
Interestingly, it was his on-screen sister, Jordana Brewster, who encouraged him to bring the final chapter back to Los Angeles.
On his Instagram, Diesel shared the news, revealing that the actress suggested filming in Los Angeles because it was exactly what the city needed.
“Last week, during the fires that displaced LA… my sister Jordana reached out to me and said… Please have Universal film the rest of Fast X Part 2 in LA. Los Angeles needs it now more than ever… Los Angeles is where Fast and Furious started filming 25 years ago… and now Fast will finally return home. All love…”
The Fast & Furious franchise started in 2001, focusing on street racing before expanding into action-packed heists and adventures. It's known for thrilling car chases and its theme of family, with a cast led by Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker. The series has grown into a global hit with ten films, blending exciting action with emotional stories. The final Fast X: Part 2 film will wrap up this iconic saga.
