Stills from the series 'The Glass Dome' (2025)

A six-part Nordic noir where past traumas resurface in haunting ways.

Netflix's latest limited series, The Glass Dome (Glaskupan), plunges viewers into the eerie depths of a small Swedish town's buried horrors.

Released on April 15, 2025, this six-episode thriller, crafted by renowned crime writer Camilla Läckberg and directed by Lisa Farzaneh and Henrik Björn, follows criminologist Lejla as she returns to her hometown of Granås after her adoptive mother's death. Her arrival coincides with the disappearance of her friend's daughter, Alicia, echoing Lejla's own childhood abduction in the same town .

The series masterfully intertwines Lejla's present investigation with haunting flashbacks of her past, revealing unsettling parallels between the two cases. As the narrative unfolds, viewers are led through a maze of suspense, culminating in a shocking revelation.

The Glass Dome

Filmed primarily in Sweden's Dalarna region, particularly the town of Älvdalen, the series captures the quintessential Nordic noir ambiance with its dense forests and somber landscapes.

Presented in Swedish, The Glass Dome offers English subtitles and dubbing, making it accessible to a global audience. Its concise six-episode format delivers a tightly woven narrative that delves deep into themes of trauma, identity, and the shadows of the past.

For fans of psychological thrillers and dark mysteries, this series is a compelling addition to the genre.
