Katie Holmes is clarifying the specifics regarding her daughter Suri Cruise's finances.
On Sunday, December 8, the 45-year-old actress took to Instagram to refute a report from the Daily Mail claiming that 18-year-old Suri had become a millionaire due to her trust fund from father Tom Cruise, which allegedly activated recently.

The article suggested that a source stated Suri gained access to her father’s trust fund—established by the 62-year-old "Top Gun: Maverick" star—when she turned 18 in April, and that she also has a separate trust fund from her mother.
Holmes responded directly to the claims, writing "Completely false" over a screenshot of the article. She added, "Daily Mail, you can stop making stuff up."
In her caption, she stated simply, "Enough."
In April 2023, the Dawson's Creek alum shared rare insights about Suri during an interview with Glamour, emphasizing her desire to keep her daughter away from the spotlight, especially given her high visibility as a child.
"It has been very important for me to protect my daughter, given how visible she was at a young age," Holmes explained at the time.
She further expressed her gratitude, saying, "I'm very grateful to be her parent. She's an incredible person."
This June, Suri and her mother were spotted celebrating the teenager's graduation from her high school in New York City. The two were seen sharing hugs and posing together, with Suri dressed in a red cap and gown over a white dress.
In the graduation ceremony program, Suri opted to use the name "Suri Noelle" instead of "Suri Cruise."
Holmes and her then-husband Tom welcomed Suri in 2006, but the couple divorced in 2012 after nearly six years of marriage.
Last year, Holmes made her directorial debut with the film Rare Objects, a project she both starred in and dedicated to her daughter. Suri also contributed to the film's soundtrack, similar to her involvement in Holmes' previous film, Alone Together. The end credits of Rare Objects include a dedication that reads, "Dedicated to Suri." In her 2023 interview with Glamour, Holmes expressed her desire for Suri to always have a role in her films, stating, "I always ask her."
"Both of those experiences stemmed from my love for our industry, where you build projects and become a family with the people involved," she continued. "It's a safe, beautiful, creative environment. Including someone I love dearly comes from that love."
"That's how I prefer to work—creating that kind of atmosphere. Having her there was very meaningful to me, because she's my heart," Holmes added, reflecting on her relationship with Suri.
