Several years have passed since the release of the last season of Game of Thrones, but passions around the finale have not subsided to this day. Millions of fans around the world have not been able to forgive the creators for the hasty ending, which crossed out the development of key characters. And now Kit Harington, the permanent Jon Snow, has spoken out, frankly, vulnerable and, perhaps, for the first time without protecting his image.
In a recent interview, Harington admitted that the end of the saga was hasty:
"We were so damn tired and couldn't continue. I understand that some people think we rushed it, and I can agree with them. But I'm not sure there was any alternative. I look at myself in the last season, and I see how exhausted I am," the actor noted.
What fans have been whispering about for years on Reddit and social networks has now been confirmed first-hand: the production literally ran out of steam. According to Harington, the ending could have been different if the team had the strength and resources to continue.

He also emphasized that every viewer has the right to their own opinion:
"I think there were mistakes in the story, perhaps towards the end. Several interesting options, unfortunately, did not work."
And yet, thanks to the creators.
Of course, this does not change the main thing: the actors, as before, put everything into the project, and for many viewers, it was the characters, not the plot twists, that became the heart of Game of Thrones. Harington's words do not sound like an excuse, but like an honest confession of a man who lived eight seasons in an epic where not everyone morally survived.
Perhaps, over time, this ending will begin to be perceived not as a failure, but as a reflection of the fact that even in fantasy worlds , the heroes and performers remain people. And sometimes they just run out of strength.
